As a UL 508A certified panel shop, Elite Controls has the capabilities to design and build custom panels using the UL 508A Listing Mark. This certification provides the authority and evidence that the control panel complies with nationally recognized safety standards. These standards ensure public safety and provide our customer assurances that the electrical control panel is compliant with national and local electrical codes.

We were originally approached to help supply fluid power and other solutions to satisfy customer requirements, which allowed us to complete our first UL 508A certified panel.

One challenge needing to be addressed was the space constraint. The customer needed to fit many motor controls in a small cabinet. Using both the busbar power distribution system and the Sprecher & Schuh Soft Starter, we were able to reduce the panel dimensions and save a large amount of space in the cabinet.

Our team also customized a high output battery charger. This 3200W battery charger was incorporated to the system to allow it to run from either the generator or an external 120 VAC power source.

Elite Controls’ first certified UL  508A panel was a successful solution that fit the requirements, with the functions and control necessary to successfully control the application.
