Innovative Hydraulic Safety: DMIC Accumulator Safety Valve (ASV) Technology

By Grayson McAlister September 28, 2023

Safety is our number one priority at Hydraquip, and we are constantly striving towards safety enhancements in our client’s equipment. Our partnership with Delaware Manufacturing Industries Corporation (DMIC), we continually seek advancements in technology to ensure the protection of both workers and equipment. One of their newest innovations in technology is the DMIC accumulator safety valve, designed to properly isolate, drain and relieve hydraulic pressure stored in hydraulic accumulators.

Breaking Down the DMIC Accumulator Safety Valve:

Design: assembly consists of a main isolation ball valve with handle for manual operation. The valve block includes industry standard size C08-2 cartridge valve cavities for drain valve, relief valve and optional solenoid drain valve. If Solenoid option is not required, the block is supplied with a cavity plug.

Material: Standard designs for carbon steel rated up to 6000 psi. Stainless steel and aluminum valve bodies are also available as options.

Manifold Mount: option to order mounted to a manifold for customer system integration as a special order.

Connection Flexibility: limit the need for additional accumulator and pressure side adapter fittings with the option to order with multiple connection types including: SAE, NPT, BSPP, BSPT and ISO.

The accumulator safety valve is designed to function in a large number of applications with ratings of up to 6,000 PSI and temperature ranges from -60°F to 400°F.
